60 woooooo

It was a nice weekend and I got screenshots to proove it ;p
Besides going to see "Seven Pounds" (its good go see it unless you don't wanna cry) it was again a LoTRO weekend.
Friday night LoJ put on a christmas concert at the Prancing Pony. Was cool hearing the christmas music and I won a prize for guessing the name of one

Friday we just worked on the lowbies.
Saturday I got Jlynn up to 59 and we went with a kin group to skumfil for Jorics class quest. We went through enough times so all of us got leggings! My first moria radiance gear.

Then we went to the forges and did it on hardmode 2 times - I didn't get any armor though - but I did get my class quest done!
It was a late night lol.

Sunday was just as busy. Starting out the day on our mains Jazriel invited us to finish out book 15. So we helped Narmeleth defeat Mordorith. Sad ending of course.

Got some sweet material items as a prize :)
White horse and a picture of Narmeleth.

The White horse goes really good with my dress!

So right after that we form a group for 5.5 and omg its split into 3 parts - first 2 parts easy. 3rd part is based on luck! Must of been 3rd times a charm, because the first 2 tries we were so unlucky and got like 10 armoured(<--- damn tolkien for making me use U's now in my words) troll spawns. 3rd time none, and we rocked it. I didn't take any screen shots - you barely have time to think in there let alone take a screenshot. I think thats the one I got a nice pair of pants from, too bad I got the radiance ones to use ;p .

Then after a Quiznos run we decided to keep the books going and finish all the way up to the end. So we ran around until 6.8 and did the instance. BTW there is a rock right at the instance entrance and if you run into its insta death and ceo did it like 3 times, on purpose lol.

The last boss in the instance looks freakin sweet, buts he's pretty tough. He drops a teal cloak but we didnt get it.

After that you finally get to meet Galadriel in Lorien! This is what I said about it on the lotro forums:

Mostly people want to post complaints, but I'm going to do the opposite here.
Great job and Thank you on the last book you put in this update. The new moria storyline was just awesome (only got frustrated trying to do 5.5 deep way lol).
And when We finished 6.8 and headed out to Lorien to meet Galadriel it became one of the most memorable moments ingame to me. It was so beautiful and the mirror part is one of my favorites in the book and I was so excited that I got to look in the mirror myself!
Then when the King of Eagles showed up I was about in tears. I think I took 500 screenshots.
Yup so I just want to give a huge Thank You for letting me feel like I am really a part of this story
Looking forward to Book 7!

Edit: Also forgot to mention I thought it was so cool that I found gandalfs old hat in the pond where he broke the bridge. Another great part that I felt like I was really part of the whole story.

I logged out with 1 bar till level 60 :D

Today i logged in and got a deed done and leveled to 60 woot, now 6 more months without xp haha. Went and messed around with my traits, put myself in MoNF(dps) set and was amazed at some of my fire damage. Here's a screenshot where you can see I did 1995 fire damage, I did it on a green mob lol:

After that I got invited to do a 3-man, Midnight Raid, with Hadar and Jason and got some good weapon xp from it. It was fun you have to run around and burn orc tents really fast.
Then Joric and I went and helped jrmama and sonoran with some quests in angmar - those trolls + 4 dread freakin suck! But it was fun :)
I hope thats enough screenshots! lol

Korean gaming and Turbine

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2008/12/11/korea/

Just read this really really interesting article about Korea. Lets us know why they are so obsessed with Starcraft and Lineage, how crazy those "net cafe's" really are, why they don't actually buy games, and how some Koreans get left out from the rest of the gaming world.

Also read somewhere Turbine joined the layoff train, but claim is wont effect any current games or future games. Well, maybe its time to reveal what you borrowed that 20 million for a couple months back Turbine! :)

Update

*waves* Just havnt had alot of news to post about lately. Imperivm is going downhill fast. People are leaving and the rest just wont log in. Good times. In Lotro, for some reason I got Jlynn the loremaster to 58 Oo. Cleve for some reason also leveled his champion to 60 and hasnt played on his warden lately. Not much news to talk about cept Cryptic being bought out, and even more people loosing jobs >< I don't think I posted a link to AoI podcast 4 either.

There ya go :)

I came up with the idea of the next show to be a Year in Review show. The members of AOA are voting for their favorites and we'll announce results on the show :o!

Beta Beta Beta.. shhhh

I got invited to another beta, this time because I knew someone important :o ooooooOOOooo But of course cuz of the NDA I can't tell you which! :p And speaking of things in beta theres rumors going on about SGW! Thanks RIP for posting this:
Stargate Worlds studio faces cash flow issues
by SAMUEL AXON Sep 18th 2008

Get ready for some dubious corporate drama. We were contacted by a tipster claiming to be a Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment employee. He or she alleged, among other things, that CME/Firesky is in critical financial condition -- that it has accrued a large debt, that massive layoffs are planned, and that the future of Stargate Worlds might be in jeopardy. Knowing full well that potentially-scorned anonymous employees are rarely a wholly reliable source, we contacted the company and provided them an opportunity to comment.

We were told that the tip was full of inaccuracies and overstatements. The official comment was this: "Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment is a start up, and like many start ups, we face the typical cash flow issues that all pre-revenue companies face. CME continues to fund its operations in the same way it has done for three years and the viability of the Stargate Worlds project is not in question. We fully expect to complete and ship Stargate Worlds in 2009."
Marketing guy Kevin Balentine assured us that large-scale layoffs are not planned, and that the company's other two projects are moving along as well.

There is an admission here that there are some financial problems, but the true extent is not clear. Despite this, the company has engaged in extravagant marketing endeavors like a caravan of custom Hummers. We're not sure what to make of that.

It would be a shame to lose all that's been invested now. That the failure of the project would be a waste doesn't necessarily mean it won't happen anyway, though. That said, our educated guess is that Stargate Worlds is not in imminent danger of cancellation. The exact numbers provided by the tipster seemed a bit outrageous, and the project is very far along in development.

Stargate Worlds reps have promised that the closed beta test will begin within the next few weeks. Stay tuned.

I would cry for days if it got canceled!!!

Meh, I forgot to post abunch of screenshots again >< Maybe tonight.

I know, I keep saying I'm gonna post screenshots and I always forget when I get home! Sorry ;p I'm gonna post like a whole thing with 20 screenshots or something lol. And btw I love you Cleve :)

We did the level 15 class quests on the RK and Warden last night. We both had a blast doing it. Cleve said he barely made it through the first time but it was so fun having to "hold the ranks" or something, whatever those wardens do. And for me, Third time is a charm! I didn't know there was a thread about this quest on the RK forums or I would of went at this alot differently - since about every one of them said the trick was to Kite the mobs around while healing. Well, lol, I didn't kite anything, hell I didn't even think about kiting. But I still won! So I posted this is the thread to tell them you don't necessarily have to kite :)
Source
I did it at level 15, and DID NOT kite at all. Yeah I failed it the first 2 times I did it. First time because I just had no idea what to expect when that second sig came running at me. The second time was because I couldn't get my attunment in the green fast enough to resummon my rock, and by that time I was out of power so couln't kill it. The third time I bought some better power pots and took a step back to plan out what skills I'd use and when. I thought to myself, duh! the skill that gives me 200 power gives me 3 neutral attunments if I cast that and mez the sig I'll have time and the attunment to drop down my rock again and cast another heal and pop a power pot. So when the last sig came out I had full moral and power and just let loose while my rock and hot healed me. It felt like there was not a skill I had that I did not use during that fight! lol

After I finally finished it yeah I felt like most others did, like I really learned how to play my class and it was a blast! (not to mention the lightning animations hitting the rocks looked pretty cool)

I took some screens of the quest instance I swear I'll post them! :p

oooh I got a reply already from someone:
I agree wholeheartedly! This is one of the most fun quests I have ever done, and in my experience, it is one of the BEST quests to teach you how to play your character!

As I've said earlier, "Two Thumbs Up"!

Btw there's some new buffs that give you things like run speed, extra morale, and bonus xp if the freeps in ettenmoores take all the keeps. A nice bonus being on a server with a healthy amount of pvmp.

Thanksgiving weekend

Well been busy with thanksgiving stuff and family came over saturday, didn't have too much gaming time over the weekend. Although somehow I managed to reach 55 on my LM - dunno how I could of done it without taking a nice break every 45 minutes. Got some nice screenshots of new areas we explored, will post later. Yeah, it's fun when I play with Joric, but wow my loremaster is bleh. So, Sunday we ended up on our noobs - Cleves Warden and my Rune-keeper (Bug Zapper!) Talk about fun and overpowered! lol We were doing stuff we had a hard time doing on other characters and taking on full fellowship quests in a duo! In other words, we kicked butt! Didn't feel like having to take too many breaks while on the RK >< We got them to 15. Planning on playing a little tonight. :)
